The First Date

This is the first video I made for Video Art. It's my favorite one. technically it isn't the best, but conceptually it's the best.

Tree Time!

I just realized that I didn't post this yet. not particularly the best work I've done. Didn't save it enough and lost it 3 times before I finished it. Made it for Digital Media. We had to make one object transform into another.

Water Color Detail

These are the individual squares of my water color final. I made them in a weird order, 3, 6, 9, 8, 7, 4, 1, 2, 5. #3 is my favorite and #8 is my second favorite. Each square has my name in it, just for fun.
I used Micron Pens for the design and Teas for the color. The Post right before this one has all of them set up the way they are meant to be seen.

Water Color Final

This is my final for my Aqua Media class. Each square is 11x11 inches. Ink and Tea Stains. I'll be posting each individual square so you can see it in detail. I wanted it to be fuller though time constraints required me to leave spaces. My favorite is the top right square, and just like normal each square has my name.

Paintings

These were the first two paintings we did in my Intermediate Painting I class. The first was a really cluttered still life that we had a week to work on. The point was for us to not worry about details and understand how to simplify items.
The second painting came from the same still life, but our job was to abstract the still life and show the process of our painting.
I found that I really enjoy painting thick and I just explored that.
We did one more set of paintings based off these two paintings, which I will post once I take photographs of them.

Fruit!

This is a painting I did for my aqua media class, Water Color. It was a fruit still life with apples pears and an onion, The onion is terrible, but it's okay, It was our first painting that wasn't monochromatic.

Egg and Paper

This is the same image, I don't know which picture I like better, The first seems too brown and you don't really see the color as well. The second gets too washed out, but you can see what color it actually is. I suggest just looking at the two and figuring out what the actual color is.
This was an assignment in my aqua media class.

Skateboard

In my digital media class last semester we had to design a skateboard using Adobe Illustrator. The Hendrix image is a drawing I did in the summer. All of the pieces are from drawings I made or a few things are brush strokes I made or from Illustrator. I had a lot of fun making this.

Photoshop and Illustrator

Photoshop Final

Photoshop and Illustrator Final

These two pieces I did in for my final in my Digital Media Class. The first was made in only Photoshop and the second was made in both Photoshop and Illustrator. I also made one in only Illustrator. . . but that one is really really bad because I did not put enough effort in it at all. Any way I really like these two. The top image is from 2 dances I did for my sister's wedding party in our back yard. The second was a picture of me with one of my drawings in the background. The background drawing is already posted on here. The image of me was edited on Photoshop and the background on Illustrator. (Put together on illustrator)

Forgot about these!

These are all from Drawing II from Fall 2008. The first is a pumpkin drawing which I had a lot of fun doing, because "Pumpkins are my Jam" (My mantra for that drawing).
The other three drawings are the last drawings we did for my Drawing II class, it was a start for abstractions. They are in the order that I drew them in. The last one is my favorite because I had an idea for the concept before I started drawing it.

Squared Off

For this drawing I wanted to experiment with rectangles separated from the drawing. I think i like it a little bit, I'm not exactly sure how much I like it though. The drawings should sort of connect to each other, though are complete on their own.

Not the best use of color

So I drew these around January 30th and I had all these colorful pens unibal pens (same as the black pen I use for these drawings). I drew the First one first but colored the second one first. I didn't really like the second one as much so I just wanted to explore with the colors and see which ones looked the best. The pink was the best color I thought went with the drawings so I only added pink to the first one.
I wish I kept the just black and white, or took pictures of them before I colored them. It's okay, lesson learned!
You know the drill, my name is in there somewhere!

Getting Bigger

These two I did between at the end of December 2009 and the beginning of January 2010.
At this point my drawings have gotten bigger and less cluttered. The Second one isn't finished.
My name is also hidden in these drawings.

Recent Stuff

These were done this past December. They are based off of a drawing I did in November which I will post when I have a picture of it. These were the beginning of my exploring this style of drawing. You can see how it's changed once I've posted the newer drawings.
The first drawing was something I made for an idea for an intaglio print and the ones after were just me experimenting.
If you look hard enough you can find my name in all of these drawings.

Baby Me

These are portraits I did of myself as a small child. Both are in conte crayon on gray paper and approximately 11x14. They were done in the spring of 2008 I tried to give the second to my dad for father's day. . . but then he gave it back to me because he was sure he'd ruin it.

First Serious Painting

Previous to this painting I hadn't done any paintings that mattered so much to me. Painting people is so much harder than painting a still life, at least for me. I painted this in acrylic in the spring of 2008, It was based off of a picture of m boyfriend as a baby, I spent a really long time on the face. I spent a ridiculous amount of time on the hands, however that is the weakest part of this painting. I think at some point, I will go back and repaint the hands to make them look a lot better.

Baby Girl

I drew this drawing in the winter/spring of 2008. She is my Sister's Husband's Cousin's Daughter. (I know, very closely related to me)

This is probably one of my most favorite drawings I've ever done. It's done in Prisma Color Pencils and Graphite. If anyone thinks that you cannot erase colored pencils, anyone with me while I drew this will tell you otherwise. The majority of this drawing was done at least twice before being erased and done again. I fell in love with this drawing in the process of drawing it, and I still get happy when I see this picture.

Charcoal Time

Both of these two drawings were done in the winter of 2007-2008 in charcoal. The top was a still life I set up in the kitchen at home (a problem for my parents because I refused to let them move it) and the bottom was a still life set up at school. I love my pumpkins, if I had to I could draw pumpkins all day long! Also I am really proud of the top left object in the second drawing,

Another set of Brothers

These two I did I believe in the fall of 2008. Both are done in Conte Crayon. The first I'm a little disappointed with because I did not make the face long enough but I'm still happy with the likeness of the two images to the two boys I drew.

Fall Paintings

I made these in my high school painting class in the fall of 2007. The first isn't really a painting, It's a pen contour drawing with a tea stain. The second is a still life done in water color.

Purple Elephant

I painted this in the summer of 2007 while spending my summer in California. I was learning how to draw elephants, and I also went to the zoo to draw them from life.

Beach Brothers

These two images are of my cousins at the beach. The drawing on the top is in graphite and the image on the bottom is in Sharpie and Prisma Color Markers. Both were done over the summer of 2007. Yes they are a bit old, but they are definitely two of my favorites, especially because they can really tell it's images of them, and they were excited that I drew them.

Oldies but Goodies

Purple Sharpie. Stipple image of a ceramic nose.

Chalk drawing of a half bone half muscle statue.

Conte Crayon drawing of a torso sculpture.

Conte Crayon and Pastel Drawing of a Skeleton.

All of these drawings were done in the end of winter and beginning of spring in 2006. Yep, super old. But I'm really proud of them. Seeing the later two make me really want to get some conte crayons and just go at it. The Torso drawing to this day is one of my favorite drawings I've ever done.

Starting Way Back

This is the second portrait I have ever done. The first one is almost good, except for the face which makes the piece fall apart. So I've decided to start my blog with this. This was done in June of 2006 in 3 days.
